Rob Marshall (director) came up with the 4th series of the Pirates of the Caribbean, where for a change Penelope Cruz (Angelica) replaced Keira Knightley. Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) as usual stunning with his adventurous ideas to reach the destiny with his friend Gibbs (Kevin McNally). But the movie starts with confusion that who’s the real Jack Sparrow. This question gives the audiences enormous interest to watch the movie & fortunately the story of the movie holds this interest of the audiences till the end of the movie.
The movie revolves around Captain Jack Sparrow & how he reaches to the elusive fountain of youth. He wanted to find it out in order to remain a hero in the history. He got company of his ex-lover, Angelica (Penelope Cruz) & her father Blackbeard, whom he want to teach a lesson. Because Blackbeard has captured Sparrow’s old ship & Barbossa lost his one leg. Walt Disney created a very nice & pretty set to define the story very efficiently.
Rob Marshall is quite successful with the running of multiple stories at the same time on the screen. The English soldiers under the guidance of Barbossa & Blackbeard with his soldiers were in search of the elusive fountain. As Sparrow is only having the knowledge that’s why Blackbeard was bound to follow his orders, but in between that Sparrow also met Barbossa & promised that he will help him out in finding Blackbeard. The story is neatly knitted around all the characters. Gibbs, another friend of Sparrow, helped the English soldiers to reach the destiny. But at last, the movie ends with the message that truth wins after any kind of battle. Barbossa was trying to drink this elusive drop of youth in order to make himself immortal, but he didn’t got the opportunity & saved the life of his daughter Angelica. Truth won & his evil deeds got mixed with the sand.
Anish Malhotra, student, commented after watching the movie that, “As usual the movie was good, but I think that in the other three parts, Keira Knightley was more better than Penelope Cruz. She tried to justify the character.” Rinkie Sharma, housewife talked about the movie as, “It was an outstanding movie. I personally enjoyed a lot. Johnny & Penelope were awesome.”
