English Vinglish – A Movie To Learn About Women

English Vinglish – A Movie To Learn About Women
Sridevi, one of the popular actresses of Bollywood in the era of 1980s again came back in the film industry with her path-breaking performance in “English-Vinglish”. After 14 years of life spending without limelight, made her strong and helped her to come back with a sturdy script like this. This movie is all about attaining respect for a woman in her own house among her own family members. A laddu seller woman, who is devoting her entire life to her family, is getting rebuked by her family at every step and wants to create her own world and her own identity. In the mean time, she went to visit her sister’s daughter’s marriage ceremony in Manhattan, where she joined English learning classes with great enthusiasm.

It’s a saying that love can happen at any moment, and any age. Even love is never limited to any of the geographical boundaries. It can be brewed between people of different spheres of the world. An Indian woman can love a French man, whose language could be difficult for her to understand, but a feeling which is directly coming from the heart can be understood without knowing the language. Love never need word to express the feeling, even the eyes can also convey the emotions which can be decoded by the other heart.

I liked every point of the story, but one thing I didn’t understand that why at the end of the day, an Indian woman is bound to go back to her own family and accepting all the faults and follies of her family. Sridevi was having an insensitive man in her life and having a filthy daughter who enjoys insulting her mother at every step. Couldn’t she go to the French man who understood her profoundly? Is it not possible for a woman to go out of the cracked relationship to find out a perfect guy for her own? People do marry in order to spend life with a person who love each other and can take care of each other.

Marriage can join two unknown souls to spend quality time with each other in order to solve all the difficult queries of life together. In that case, is it a bad thing to make out the things with a man who can understand you in a better manner? Is it mandatory to be in a relationship with the man who never tried to understand his wife? If a man is consecutively insulting his wife, and wife is pinching by saying some true facts in front of the society and one fine morning that man wake up with all his intelligence and sensitivity and accepts his wife, then I must say that the husband is “worthless”. Women should really go out of the real world and should try out the new and best thins which can give her the life.

Success is the point in your life where you are satisfied and is feeling the real contentment. So everything should be experienced in a short span of life. After watching this movie I really think that every woman, especially the housewives should watch the movie. They should watch the movie by heart and should understand their own importance in the family and should go for their own dreams and aspirations in life. Life is very short so cease each and every moment of life and do the best things which can give you happiness and pleasure.

Let the Power of Women Reach New Heights

Recently, few friends of mine got married and I'm very happy for them. All of them used to say that they are engaged and want to get married with their lover, but suddenly what happened I don't know and they got married to someone unknown to them. I asked them many at times that what happened that you didn't marry that guy and is spending your life with somebody whom you don't know. They answer that my boy friend was not upto the mark and I was not able to adjust with him. I was wondering few days back that if you don't know a person after spending some quality time with him, then its a matter of shame that you are not able to adjust with him.
Last day, one of my school friend asked me that when I am getting married. I don't understand, when my parents are not worried about my marriage then why the hell the entire world is worried about me. Currently I don't have any intention to get married so early. Getting married in such a tender age used to be the trend of the olden days, not now. Even women are getting married in the late 30s and are getting pregnant in early 40s. These days', doctor are also prescribing for late marriage and late pregnancy. They are not fools, they had extensive research on it and finally declared this.
A month ago, my another school friend was asking me about job openings after getting married. She is just graduation passed, and have hardly command over English. Now she is blessed with her son who is of about 3 years and husband is working in a renowned organization. I personally feel that life is not all about getting married, having a loving husband and cute children. If I'm studying, doing well in life and my parents are not at all concerned about my marriage then what's wrong out here. Here in this part of the nation I brazen out numerous illiterate and uncivilized people who really think that girls are the useless weight on this earth and their aim of life should walk around their family and kids.
Last night I went for dinner with my very good friend and was shocked to know his views about the female fraternity. Once I told him that for guys 30-32 is the ideal age to get married because at this ripen age men become serious and focused about their life, they get matured and know how to manage their life. He is into his family business and I must accept that he could be an outstanding businessman, he has razor sharp business skills. I was astonished by listening his perception that, when at the age of 32 I'll marry then I'll get a girl of 28-29. I said, "Are the girls of 28-29 are not girls? What's wrong in them?" But he said that's wrong & I don't want to fight over this issue.
This particular thing was a kind of eye-opener for me. I think that now the girls should come up with some strong actions. Women fought their voting rights in several parts of the world, then I think this is the best time for the Indian women to announce a revolution against the male chauvinism and should prove them wrong. Women should pursue their studies and should take up the profession they like the most. Education make a human being modest and unpretentious facilitate the capability to think over their independence and sovereignty. Hope I'm able to convey my message to my female readers properly.

Career Vs. Stomach

When I was brushing up yesterday’s, my eyes stopped at one article, the topic was about supporting men in their career. Now-a-days, the concept gets changed and now the theory has a different and very inner meaning. Earlier it was a saying that, the best way to reach a man’s heart goes through their stomach, but now the concept is absolutely vice verse. Now theorists are saying that the best way to reach men’s heart goes through their career.

Dr. Dobranski, a prominent psychiatrist of United States of America propounded this theory recently. But being a regular reader of Times of India and a follower of psychology, I really don’t prefer it. Isn’t it something gender discrimination? Psychology revitalizes and gives a shape to a man’s thought. But I think the notion of the modern psychology has got changed a bit. Especially in a country like India, the relationship between a man and woman is hugely different. It’s totally a North Pole and South Pole difference.
Generally people say that, these days’ women are also getting the equal chance as like a man. But my question is, is it really true? As far as I know the survey report of United Nations, still India is a nation which is ranking at the top level in girl feticide, girl infanticide, maternal health issues and many more. I’m just naming some of them. There must be several cases which are not getting space in the newspapers. Still lot of families is there which are burning in the issue of dowry and they are forced to throw their girls in this severe problem.

Everybody knows law, but how many of them are following the exact law. We are the culprits, we break the law somehow or the other in order to provide ourselves all kind of facilities. After reading this article, what I felt is that men are not the only creature on the earth who should get support for their career from their better halves. Women should get the same option. If a woman is behind a man’s success then why can’t a man behind the success of woman. Whether it’s a girl child or a boy, they uses name of father in the schools and colleges, but why they are not liable to use their mothers’ name.

Few years back, Supreme Court of India gave the verdict that a child a use mother’s name in the schools and colleges if he/she is willing to use. This is the age of “live together” and “single parent”. They men and women have the same authority on their child. Even a mother should be educated enough because she is the person who should educate her children, then why all the credit goes to fathers or the male fraternity. Female fraternity should get half of the credit as they are educating their kids and undergo the severe pain of delivering her child for hours.

Honestly speaking, I’m a hardcore feminist and I don’t agree to this theory. Female are not the creatures who are going to support their dream men every moment, men are also supposed to support their wives at the time of need, not by considering them as the weakest sex on earth, but believe them as the power which gives birth to another life on earth.

Children: Gift of God

Today I watched the movie named "Little Children" by Todd Field. In a word this was an outstanding movie. Kate Winslet (Sarah), Jennifer Connelly (Kelly) and Patrick Wilson (Brad) did a wonderful job. Though the movie was released in 2006, but I watched it today. I got a wonderful opportunity to enjoy this movie. Though this movie was all about how people indulge into an extra marital affair and how they commit something wrong. But children are the integral part of a person’s life. Many at times the couples just think about their own happiness and forget about the children and take a wrong decision.
The huge step like extra marital affair comes into an individual’s life when something is missing. It may be due to children, responsibilities and duties for other relationships and issues like maladjustment between the couple. When the couple crosses the age limit of 35 or so, many at times they suffer from the adjustment problem with their spouses. They may think that the spark which was there in the life is now gone. But it’s nothing like that, if there is a very good understanding between the couple then this kind of problem can be avoidable.

Life is not just confined in the job, family, relations, children and other commitments. Enjoyment and exploring about new things are very important. People may get bore by engaging themselves in these issues but solution is to take a break. You can take a break, but it’s totally up to you that in what way you want to take the break. It may be a small family trip to a beautiful destination or it may be a normal stay with family at home.

In a scene when, Kate Winslet is talking to other women about a piece of literature, she supported the way of going out of the archetypal ritual of a married relationship and told to maintain the way the central character of the novel was behaving. Life can make you understand many things. When people face it they gains the experience but without facing the problem you won’t be able to realize the limit of the issue.
A woman always strives for love and care from her family, but this is also important that she should gout of the conventional way of life and should explore her qualities and behavioral intricacies. According to the feminism theory, Elaine Cicoux commented that, when a man can go out of the conformist rules and can enjoy with a lady, then why don’t woman do the same. She is also a human being and has the same authority to do that. When Kate (Sarah) went out of her so called married relationship and bought a swimming costume to show off her curves to Patrick (Brad), she realized a woman who is hungry for a sexual need.

She did what she wanted, but she comprehended that she is doing wrong and suddenly when her daughter run away and she was finding her, she understood that she’s her mother and she is the creator for her future. When her baby is with her then she is nobody to ditch her and gift her new father. She decided to proceed with her daughter and left Brad. On the other hand, when Brad was trying to practice sports and lost his sense, he got his spine fractured. That was a very touching dialogue by him, “Call my wife”. Though he was also in a plan to leave his wife but suddenly he understood that his injury stopped him to commit something wrong. If Brad would have got married with Sarah, then they would have been a happy couple, but was it sure that their kids would have been happier. What about Kelly who used to love Brad immensely. Everything could be topsy-turvy but some mishaps are good and changed everything in everybody’s life directly or indirectly. So I learnt that if you want to explore yourself, then obviously go for it but never take any wrong step which will ruin everybody’s happiness.

Sachin's Dramatic Downfall

The master blaster of Indian Cricket Team, Sachin Tendulkar who is playing cricket and winning the hearts of millions of people from the last 20 years is going to see off the world of cricket and willing to join Indian Politics. The person who is so good in ground, will he be able to perform well in politics also. In today's time, maintaining a good image in front of society is much more important.

In politics there are many fielders. More than 10 people. May be it is easy to win a match by playing in a stadium but playing and winning the match in politics is very difficult. Because there he may get more than 10 fielders at a time. If Sachin is thinking that other cricketers who are quite successful in politics, he will also join their brigade then Sachin may be taking up a wrong decision. Cricketers like Imran Khan, Arjun Ranatunga, etc. they were the world class batsmen of their times too and are pretty much successful in the political pitch also. But who can guarantee that Sachin will also play well.

The Prime Minsters of India is Dr. Manmohan Singh who is not only an alumni from University of Oxford but also a well renowned economist is also fail to understand the game of Indian politics. In a country where the politicians who are not that much educated and are murderers and smugglers, will a cricketer like Sachin Tendulkar able to sit with them in the Parliament on the same dais. Though Indian politics is in a dare need of young politicians like Rahul Gandhi, Jyotiradityan Scindhia, Varun Gandhi, Sachin Pilot, etc. but still these young politicians' hands are also locked.

My question is that why Sachin took this decision. In my opinion this is a dramatic downfall because a cricketer who is having such a tremendous career graph is now joining the team where there is no proper control of any body or no highly educated person is there to control the whole nation. Will Sachin play a vital role in the upcoming elections? He will join to which party, Congress who is having numerous cases and is retired hurt right now with the results of the Legislative Elections. BJP is another big player for the rank of PM, but Sachin cannot stay there for a long time because BJP always after the secularism and religion. Or he will start his journey with a new party like Imran Khan.

There is a saying that, "Game is a part of politics and politics is a part of game." Now this will be very interesting to know why Sachin took this decision and how will he manage his image from the downfall. Because it will be a big challenge for him to maintain the image what he has gained by playing from a long period of time. Will Sachin be able to do a good job for the upcoming generation of Indian Cricket? Let's wait and watch friends!!!

Euphorically Heartbreaking

Today was the day when I completed my masters degree and now I'm a post graduate. It was a day of mixed feelings. I was studying for my exams last night but not in a mood to study more. Because I was excited that my exams are going to over & I' going to be a post-graduate. This feeling was great. My parents are proud of me.

The time and tide waits for none & 2 years are gone are like this. Now I'm feeling that I just blinked my eyes & 2 years are gone. But anyway I need to go ahead do some use of my degree, talents & intelligence. But I'm upset that my favorite teachers from Amity University, Lucknow Campus won't be with me now to guide me and show me the right way.

First of all I would like to thank to S M Johri Sir (Head, ASCO) who guided me in these two years. He encouraged me in two internships I was doing in Newzstreet and Times of India. Next comes our own Chander Mahadev sir who encouraged me a lot and made me think that I've so many positive thing in me. He made me realize my talents and intelligence. Areena Ma'am was the most sweetest & sugary person. Ma'am was the person who encouraged me for pursuing PhD and made Research Methodology and Development Communication so interesting to me.

Shruti Ma'am was the person who used to focus on the course from the very first day. But she increased my creative faculty. I didn't knew before that I'm also creative, but her projects made me realize and use of my creativity. Trilochan Sir made photography so interesting that at one stage I was thinking to opt photography as my career. Mohita Sir was the most cool person I have ever came across. Because he used to take each & everything in a light manner an he gave me the new pronunciation of my name "MOMAITA", which is really funny but interesting at the same time. I hope I'm not forgetting anymore faculty. But I think this was a nice concluding ceremony in my academic lifetime. Hemani Ma'am was the person who's having immense knowledge in cyber media and taught me so many things during m course. Everybody says that she digresses a lot. But I would like to say that, yes she digresses a lot but to increase our knowledge bank.

I'll also miss my dear friend Harshita who was there with me throughout this course. She is a very simple person but wants to become higher than others, with a heart of gold and want to achieve lot of things in life. I'll miss her like hell.

But on the other hand, if I'll talk about others in my class then I should say that I was happy to get independence from them. They were the people whom I didn't expected to make me so much frustrated in life. One girl was there who used to be a very good friend of mine but later on I discovered that she was one of the weirdest and selfish girl I have ever came across. I helped her a lot and she told me that I was the person who was endangering her. Another girl was there in my class who always tried to insult me and tried to hold the main position in the class and she got award of the best student from our batch. She used to be the most worst girl & a typical slut.

But apart than this I'm happy that I got so many good compliments during these two years and on the last day of my masters also. That made me feel lucky and happy.

Derailed Rail Budget...

Dinesh Trivedi's maiden railway budget of 2012-13 gave a red signal to his own party people. He is representing Trinomool Congress. The TMC Supremo, Mamata Banerjee (Chief Minister of West Bengal), is opposing the railway budget. On the other hand, party is not decided what to be done with Trivedi.

But the Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh has no questions about this. The TMC party is questioning against the step of increasing train fares. From the last 10 years, no railway minister took the initiative to increase the train fares. Each minister was thinking about the trains from their states, and didn't made any strategy to bring profit for railways.

After 10 years, Trivedi tried to increase the train fares, his party is not supporting him. Mamata Banerjee is saying that its a wrong step. Currently railways is running through huge loss. After 6-7 years, whosoever will retire form Indian Railways won't be able to get their pension, and other money from the railway ministry. So is it a bad step to think about the profit and the future of Railways.

Now if we will see the other side of the coin, then the hiked prices of train fares will create problems for the middle class and the lower-middle class people who generally travels by train to any of the part of the country. What they will do if the fares are increasing? Should they leave railways as their means of transport? But till date the government is helpless in stopping the debauchery of tickets. In the upcoming time, Indian Railways also going to introduce the ticket booking system. Now people have to book train tickets four months before their trip to any place.

Its a no profit no loss rail budget. Right now Dinesh Trivedi must be excited that he presented his maiden rail budget which create hulla baloo in the nation.

Indian Sports: Past and its Future

India is a land of religion, where sports is meant to be similar to gods. People are literally obsessed about the matches. But now a days people are only confined to the cricket matches. People sit in front of their television sets when there is a cricket match. They are not bothered about the other field of sports, India is good in other sports also like, athletics, hockey, air-rifle shooting, swimming, tennis, table tennis, chess, etc.

Now the main factor is where in the nation lacking. Why we are so backward in other fields of sports? Why we only talk about cricket? Why we consider cricket as the king of all games, where as hockey is our national game. Though I know that we are living in a democratic country and people have the right to follow any kind of sports according to their own will. But what I belief is that following only one sport is bad. What's the fault of the other sportsmen?

We are running towards cricket, young women leaves their boyfriends by saying that, "You are not a dude like Virat Kohli." But I asking to all of my readers that why we run after them so much. They are also a human being like us, not more than us. Right now India ended the test match series in Australia, but the team was badly beaten by Aussies. India's test team comprises of all the world renowned seniors, Sachin Tendulkar, VVS Laxman, Rahul Dravid, MS Dhoni. But how much they contributed in the series. But still we are thinking about their way of playing cricket.

We don't consider the filed of sports. If we will take about table tennis, then we have Mouma Das, Poulumi Ghatak, but very less number of people must be aware of them. In Chess we have Dibyendu Burua, Koneru Humpy, but they are not that much renowned. Koneru Humpy is still famous but Dibyendu Burua could not play further because of lack of money. In badminton, we don't praise Saina Nehwal much, but still we praise Sania Mirza though she losses all the matches. She got married to a Pakistani guy but still she is playing for India. Legally she is Pakistani right now. Now she managed herself to be a sex symbol for all the youngsters. May be she forgot to concentrate of her game by thinking about her makeup kit.

We have Vijendra Singh in boxing, Abhinav Bindra in shooting, Pankaj Advani in snooker, but is anybody really interested in the hockey match of India and Pakistan. During the semi-finals of ICC Cricket World Cup 2011, India's Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh was watching the match with President Asif ALi Zardari (Mr. 10%), President of Pakistan. They were so excited. The whole crowd at the Mohali cricket ground were shouting with energy and was singing the same song. The song of winning!!! But has any time PM Manmohan Singh and President Zardari were witnessing the hockey or football match between Indian and Pakistan. the answer will be NO.

I am asking my readers that can't we people of the nation vow once to encourage the sports of India. Especially those people who wants to play for the nation but cannot play due to the shortage of money and lack of strong background. We should also appeal to the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs, Ajay Maken that don't take all the money in your own personal accounts, but give away those money to those down-trodden and needy sportsmen and women who are willing to do something for the nation and will perform well when they will provides proper chances. Then may be India will be standing at a strong position when her youngsters will be at the battle field for their own motherland.

Agneepath Agneepath Agneepath...

Agneepath Poster (2012)
After a long time Karan Johar (KJo) came up with a good movie. No extra matter in the movie, only story based, no foreign locations, were the strong points of this movie. Though it was a derivation of the old Amitabh Bachchan's "Agneepath", but still KJo resented it in a different manner. He changed a lot of situations in the movie. KJo and Karan Malhotra (director) did a very good homework. Without their contribution this movie would not have got so much life. They also chose every actors and actresses in this film according to the demand of the character. As if everybody was made for the character.

The story begins with the teachings of Dinanath Chauhan, a school-master of a small village. But Kancha killed the school master. His son Vijay shifted to Mumbai with his pregnant mother, and later on she gave birth to a baby girl, Shiksha. As Vijay became a daring person and committed some wrong deeds, his mother left him and also took his sister with her. But later on after 15 years of struggle, Vijay joined the force of Rauf Lala to reach Kancha. Finally he killed Rauf Lala and reached to Kancha.

Hrithik (Vijay Dinanath Chauhan) was fabulous. So far, in this year he has done only one project. But he did a breakthrough performance in this movie. Again he proved himself to be a horse of long race in B-town. On the other hand, Priyanka Chopra (Kaali) also performed well. Though she didn't had a log time on the screen, but she did a very good justice and was the bridge between Vijay and his family. Zarina Wahab (Vijay's mother) was another star performer in the movie. As a mother she also balanced her character on the screen.

But with Hrithik, the super star performers were Rishi Kapoor (Rauf Lala) and Sanjay Dutt (Kancha Cheena). Rishi was the person who used to sale girls in lieu of money and was also selling cocaine in the city of Mumbai. He did his level best for this character and also lost some weight before the shooting of this movie.

Om Puri (Police Inspector Gaitunde) was the person who stood against corruption and Vijay used to admire him a lot. It is needless to say that Om Puri is a great artist. Chetan Pandit who played the role of Dinanath Chauhan was also good on  the screen. Arish Bhiwandiwala (Junior Vijay) put a huge similarity amon his and Hrithik's character. Did a very good work as it was his first film. Devan Bhojani who played a character of a deaf and dumb person, and mentally challenged also was again a good selection by Karan Malhotra and KJo.

Last but not the least, another important character if this movie was Shiksha (Vijay's sister). This character was played by a new comer, Kanika Tiwari. She is a 15 year old girl from Bhopal, got the opportunity to play this character by battling with 6, 500 girls, who appeared in the audition of Dharma Productions. She also showed her acting skills elegantly.

About Sanjay Dutt, what can I say. In one word, "AWESOME". After a long time he took a serious character and performed well. His dialogue delivery was perfect. For the first time he was working in Dharma Production, and accepted a negative character in the film. But later on in the year 2012 he will be teaming up with KJo again in the film, "Koochie Koochie Hota Hai". The get up he got in the film was daring and perfectly suitable for the character like Kancha Cheena.

Katrine Kaif (Chikni Chameli) performed an item song in the film, but got good applaud for her dance. For the first time she showed those typical "latke jhatke" in the film, and learned the dance steps by heart.

After watching this film, I thought that KJo got his biggest hit of this year. Heavy weight star casts, perfect dialogues, new music by Ajay and Atul Gogavale, editing by Akiv Ali was flawless. In one way we can regard it as a "Perfect Package".

People also got influenced with the tattoo got by Sanjay Dutt, some of the viewers also expressed their feelings to use ear ring like Kancha, some of them were also planned their new hair style by seeing Sanjay Dutt. So guys don't waste your time. Go and watch this movie. Total "paisa wasool picture hai mere dost"

Valentine's Day Special

Hey Friends!!! Love is in the air. Valentine's Day is approaching very rapidly. I hope lot of my friends had already made their plans for their Mr./ Ms. right. This is the day to express to a person that how much you love a person, whether he/ she is your lover, wife/ husband, siblings or parents. Because love is love. Though everybody's definition of love is a bit different but love is the part and parcel of everybody's life.

The whole world celebrate this day with full dedication, but very few people know the story behind this. I derived the story and want to share with my friends.

The concept of Valentine's Day came up from the Roman culture. They celebrated it on 15th Februray to celebrate the festival of Lupercalia to honor the gods Lupercus and Faunus as well as the founders of the Roman Empire Romulus and Remeus. But in 2700 AD, two priests Valentine and Marius refused to foloow the decree and secretly got married with each other. But in Roman culture the priests were not allowed to get married with anybody. But still Valentine was in love and he thought it to be the best way to be happy in life by getting married to the girl whom he loved.

But later on, when Valentine was in the jail, he again fall in love with the jailer's daughter. When he wrote his final note, he addressed to the daughter of the jailer and mentioned "From Your Valentine" at the end. From that very day, this celebration was known as the Valentine's Day throughout the world.

Later on the concept of celebrating this day with each & every near and dear ones came. In the very beginning of the 19th and 20th century people used to celebrate Valentine's Day with all those people who are very close to them. They can be friends, parents, siblings, or anyone. And that's why people used to share gifts to commemorate their contribution in each other's life.

But now-a-days the concept got changed. Now people only celebrate this day with their lovers or husband/ wife. In earlier times it used to be the day for all the near and dear ones. Why this concept cam into being. Is that the reason that now-a-days lovers or husband/ wife are much more important than others. In this long list of others you can include your parents, siblings and friends. But now people don't include them. May be the whole world has become very selfish and that's why narrowed down the reason behind love. Really the world is changing!!!
